In May of 2023, Resurrection Lutheran Church celebrated 45 years of ministry in this neighborhood on the southern edge of Cary, North Carolina.
Embracing our Savior's love continues in the faithful gathering of God's people. Worship at Resurrection is designed to be a life-changing encounter with the living God through Word and Sacrament. Services will use the best of traditional and contemporary forms according to the church year and the weekly scripture lessons.
Resurrection has joyfully served and ministered to the western Wake County area since 1978. We are part of the larger Christian witness of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Southeastern District.
We offer trained lay caregivers, known as Stephen Ministers, to support us in our Christian journey. We also have small groups designed to connect us with Jesus and with each other and build us up as followers of Jesus.
Among the care ministries we support are Habitat for Humanity - Lutheran Coalition, Families Together, Western Wake Crisis Ministry, Dorcas Ministries, Lutheran World Relief, Operation Inasmuch, Safe Families for Children, Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, Mid-Atlantic Lutherans in Mission, Meals on Wheels of Wake County, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace, as well as our own Food and Fellowship for the Blind, and The Coffeehouse for Adults with Special Needs.
Since 1984, Resurrection Lutheran Preschool has offered opportunities and experiences that will enrich, expand, and develop a child’s ever-increasing accumulation of knowledge in a loving Christian atmosphere. Resurrection Lutheran School provides a Lutheran educational experience that is Christ-centered and academically focused for children in junior kindergarten through eighth grade.
Take a look! There are many opportunities to connect, serve, learn, and grow at Resurrection. We encourage you to find areas of interest that best suit your natural gifts. Join us as we reach out for service with the love of Christ, by grace, through faith.
At Resurrection Lutheran School, we are committed to providing an education that is both academically excellent and rooted in Christ. We are grateful to share the results of our Spring 2026 NWEA MAP Growth assessments, which reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and God's blessings on our school ministry. In Reading, 82% of our students scored above the national average, with 53% performing in the top 20% nationally. In Mathematics, 91% of our students scored above the national average, with 64% performing in the top 20% nationally. These results demonstrate strong achievement across all grade levels and reflect our commitment to helping every student grow academically while developing a strong foundation in faith.
As we prepare to celebrate our 25th year of ministry, we give thanks for the partnership of our families, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and the many ways God continues to bless Resurrection Lutheran School. We remain focused on our mission of leading students to grow in their faith, pursue academic excellence, and use their God-given gifts to serve others.
"Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above, and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever." — Daniel 12:3
