23-24 Annual Fund/Safety Fund

At Resurrection Lutheran School, the safety of our students has always been our top priority.  Our dedicated staff have been working tirelessly to ensure that our school environment is as secure as possible for all students and faculty.

Here are some of the security measures that we have already put in place:

  1. Enhanced Security Protocols: Our security team has been working diligently to enhance security measures.  We are in the final stage of implementing improved access control, surveillance systems and visitor management.
  2. Emergency Preparedness: Along with first aid training, our staff underwent active shooter training this summer.  In addition, we have purchased a state-of-the-art emergency communication system accessible to all staff members with a direct link to 911.  We conduct active drills to ensure that everyone knows what to do in case of any unexpected situations, including lockdown and evacuation.
  3. Safety Partnership: We maintain strong partnerships with local law enforcement agencies to ensure a swift response to any security concerns or incidents.

While these measures are essential, we also need your support to maintain a safe and secure school environment.  Here’s how you can help:

  1. Stay Informed: Keep yourself informed about the latest developments.
  2. Promote Awareness: Talk to your child about the importance of following school protocols and reporting any suspicious concerns – see something, say something.
  3. Support Fundraising: To continue to implement security effectively, we rely on your generous contributions.

This year, RLS will be dedicating its Annual Fund to this very important safety program.  Many of the current security purchases and future measures still need additional funding.  Your support is invaluable in ensuring that our school remains a safe haven for all of our students.  Please consider making a donation to our safety fund, which will go directly to these critical initiatives.

Together, as a strong and supportive community, we can provide the safest possible environment for our children to thrive and learn.  Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.  Please consider a donation today.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment and for being an essential part of the Resurrection Lutheran School family.

With Gratitude,

Robin Hester, Principal
