Our Programs at a Glance
Resurrection Lutheran School offers a connected learning path from the earliest years through eighth grade. Each stage builds on the last, and every grade is taught by faculty who understand how children grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
Preschool and Junior Kindergarten
Resurrection Lutheran Preschool offers partial-day classes for children ages two to five, including transitional kindergarten. Our full-day Junior Kindergarten welcomes children who will be four years old by August 31 and follows our standard school-day schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Junior Kindergarten is designed to instill a positive attitude toward learning and to create a foundation for a lifelong love of education. Through weekly unit themes rooted in a Biblical worldview, our youngest students engage with diverse subjects and begin to see the world through the eyes of faith. More details are available on our preschool program page.
Elementary School (K-5)
Our elementary program is built around the idea that a child's first school experience shapes everything that follows. Children focus on independence, perseverance, communication, organization, and exploration.
Kindergarten is staffed by a full-time teacher and a teaching assistant to ensure a smooth transition into elementary school. The classroom environment is loving, predictable, and fun, and the fruit of the Spirit serves as a model for Christian life throughout the early grades. Specialists in Music, PE, Art, Library, and Technology support classroom teachers, with Spanish added in fourth and fifth grades.
Middle School (6-8)
Our middle school program focuses on collaboration, critical thinking, experiential learning, mastery learning, writing, integration, leadership, and community service. The goal is a rigorous core curriculum that emphasizes the holistic development of each student, academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Students leave our campus prepared for honors-level coursework in high school and, more importantly, prepared for lives of purpose and faith.
Faith-Based Education in Daily Practice
Faith is woven across the school day at Resurrection Lutheran rather than confined to a single class period. Students begin the day with prayer. Chapel brings the whole school together each week for worship, music, and Scripture. Teachers teach from a Biblical worldview, weaving faith into literature discussions, science units, and history lessons. Character lessons are anchored in Scripture and the fruit of the Spirit.
We welcome students from many Christian backgrounds, as well as families exploring faith and looking for a Christ-centered school home. Parents often tell us the cumulative effect is a child who treats peers with kindness, approaches teachers with respect, and speaks about school with joy.
Faith, Academics, and Enrichment Side by Side
Alongside core academics and faith, students experience meaningful enrichment throughout the week. Our STEM programming gives students hands-on experiences that build problem-solving skills and spark curiosity. Our fine arts program supports creativity through music, art, and performance opportunities, and our community service opportunities teach students that their gifts are meant to be shared.
